Privacy Policy

Plain-language version: We store the minimum needed to run the service. We don't sell your data, don't track you across the web, and don't use your transcripts to train AI models.

1. Information we collect

We collect:

Account info: email address, name (optional), bcrypt-hashed password.
API key: the AI provider API key you provide, encrypted with AES-256 before storage.
Usage data: video URLs you submit, the transcripts and summaries we generate for you, and minimal logs (timestamp, IP address, action taken).
Cookies: a single httpOnly session cookie used to keep you signed in.

2. How we use it

We use this information to (a) operate the Service, (b) authenticate you, (c) prevent abuse, and (d) calculate usage stats shown in your Settings page.

3. What we don't do

We do not sell your data.
We do not use your transcripts or summaries to train AI models.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
We do not share your AI provider API key with anyone.

4. Third-party processors

We send video URLs to a YouTube transcript API provider to fetch captions. We send transcript text to the AI provider whose API key you supplied (and only that provider) when you request a summary. Both calls are made over HTTPS.

5. Hosting

The Service is hosted on Hostinger infrastructure. Database and files reside on Hostinger servers.

6. Retention

We retain your account, transcripts, and summaries until you delete your account. Logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and operational purposes.

7. Your rights

You can:

View your usage in Settings.
Remove your stored API key at any time from Settings.
Request account and data deletion by emailing admin@quantisage.ai.
Request a copy of your data by emailing the same address.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, bcrypt for password hashing, AES-256 for API key encryption, and CSRF tokens for state-changing requests. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify affected users in the event of a confirmed breach.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
