Terms of Service

Plain-language version: Don't use this to break the law, don't abuse it, your AI provider key is yours not ours, and we make no warranties about the service.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using CRUX AI (the "Service"), provided by Quantisage LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service fetches publicly available transcripts of YouTube videos and, when you provide your own AI provider API key, generates AI summaries of those transcripts. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. One person, one account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

5. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including, but not limited to, YouTube, transcript APIs, and AI providers you choose to connect. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or content originating from those providers. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

6. AI-generated content

Summaries and other outputs generated by AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You should review AI outputs before relying on them, especially for material decisions. We make no claim of accuracy and accept no liability for actions taken based on AI outputs.

7. Your content

You retain all rights to transcripts and summaries generated through your account. We store them only to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your data and do not use it to train AI models.

8. API keys

You may bring your own AI provider API key to use the Service. That key is encrypted at rest and only decrypted at request time to call the provider on your behalf. You are solely responsible for usage charges incurred against your own API keys.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@quantisage.ai. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security or legal risk to the Service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUANTISAGE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
